Club Crawl 2009

I am very glad to see many grow interested in photography in my club. FYI, I have been a President for NYP Photography Club for the pass 1 year. This year Club Crawl, we see more DSLR owners joining the club.

Here are some group photos taken. The camera is triggered wirelessly by a mod flash trigger. More on the tips DIY later on.

Clarke Quay’s 2nd Anniversary

The disco light was nice when it enter your background, but please be careful, if the moment you click, it flash on to your face, nothing can save you.

Zouk 18th Anniversary

Zouk is only few years yonger than my age. Wow. haha. This year, I choose to bring in just my 12-24 lens. UWA is a go for place like this, as you can really see alot more stuff. Here are some photos taken in the event.

Zambiacongo Capoeira Group

Here is a shoot done by me and Ungku, over the last 2 week end. In outdoor, Nikon CLS really rocks. If you think a 12mm on a DX camera is wide, what about 12mm on full frame. There are some cool shots taken in the video. Hope you enjoy.

Maco @ Botanic Garden

Ok, I am not a pro macro shooter, still, some small and affortable equipment can help you with very nice close up shots. The following photos are taken with a 28mm f2.8 with a kenko extension tube and 2X tc. Flash are fired off camera using CLS in TTL mode. This is a really great outing with the Singapore Photographer group, as some of us as professional photographer, get a chance to escape from work and have some really relax and natural shoots.

I got a new collection. Its a Sigma 12-24 FF lens. More on the lens later on.


Here is a simple, but also tricky DIY project. We tape the words first and paste it down.

Result pay off the hard work.

SR Nathan Cup

NYP has been winning for the pass 2 year, the last game was NUS VS. NYP. This is the first time I am taking offical soccer matchs. Its not a easy shoot. I am facing so much problem with equipment and focusing problem too.





NUS score 1 in the first half, and nothing changes.

Close up

Was taken with a 28mm f2.8 lens. You need to put on a 2x tele convertor, follow by extension tube to get such working distance.
